Much of what we compose with is surplus — discontinued lines, seasonal overruns, pieces made in numbers that outstripped demand — bought from small British makers and established suppliers who would rather see them used than warehoused. We pay less than retail, and we pass that on.

Across the collection, a coffret typically holds around 40% more retail value than its price. It is also why every coffret is finite: when a piece is gone, it is gone.

Every coffret draws from the same three categories — naturally derived skincare and cosmetics, restorative bath and body pieces, and the occasional considered object — hand-picked by our team, never generic filler. We disclose the categories upfront so you know the general territory; the specific items inside stay a genuine surprise, and that's the whole point of a Petalby coffret.

No — the specific contents are never disclosed in advance. We do publish the typical retail value for each tier on the shop page, so you always know you're getting more than you paid, even though the exact items remain a mystery until it arrives.

No. The vessel is flower-themed in its presentation; the contents are skincare, cosmetics, bath and body pieces and the occasional considered object — not literal flowers or plants.

Yes. Tell us the occasion, the person and the scale you have in mind, and we will put something together and show you before anything is made. There is no minimum and no fixed template.

The Bud (£22) is a single, considered surprise — one item from our edit. Typically £30 of retail value. The Bloom (£42) sits at the centre of the collection — three items. Typically £60 of retail value. The Bouquet (£74) is our most generous coffret — a full, statement mix spanning all three categories in a larger vessel, packed in limited runs. Typically £105 of retail value.

The Bud suits a light, low-commitment introduction or a small thank-you. The Bloom is the tier most people gift and keep for themselves — a good balance of surprise and value. The Bouquet is for when you want the fullest possible unboxing moment.

Delivery is free on every mystery coffret, across the UK.

Orders are composed by hand and ship within 2–3 business days of being placed.

We'll always put things right. If your coffret arrives damaged, incomplete, or isn't what it should be, tell us and we'll replace or refund it — whichever suits you better.

You can also change your mind. Let us know within 14 days of delivery and send the coffret back complete, undamaged and unused, and we'll refund what you paid — return postage is at your cost, unless the coffret arrived damaged, faulty or not as described, in which case we cover it. Sealed cosmetics and skincare can't be accepted back once opened, for hygiene reasons.
