We look for kits that are honest about what they need from you — a stitch guide that assumes nothing, and enough material to finish the thing twice. Kits meant for children follow the same rules as Play.
We judge a kit by the evening you will spend on it: enough material to finish the thing and a little over, a guide that assumes nothing, and a result worth keeping once the hoop comes off the frame.
