What it is
A hare and a scatter of stars on pre-printed cotton, worked in a four-inch hoop that finishes small enough for a shelf rather than a wall. A weekend rather than a fortnight.
Pre-printed 100% cotton, DMC stranded cotton thread, a ten-centimetre wooden hoop, a needle, an illustrated guide to embroidery and a stitch and colour chart, boxed. Pre-printed means the design is on the cloth when it arrives — nothing to trace, nothing to transfer. The hoop is what the finished piece stays in.
Designed and made in small batches in a Dorset studio.
A small hoop asks less of a first attempt than a large one: less ground to cover, and a finished thing at the end of it rather than a half-worked one left in a drawer. At ten centimetres it travels — it will sit in a bag alongside a book.
For someone starting out, or for a stitcher who wants something small to carry and a hare to put on a shelf.
