What it is
Two plant hangers, each about a metre long and twenty centimetres across, from sixty metres of three-millimetre cotton-blend rope and two wooden rings. Half knots and square knots only — two knots, repeated, which is the whole of beginner macramé and more absorbing than it sounds.
Pattern, how-to guide, rope, rings, four bundles of blue embroidery floss and a darning needle, made in the UK. Pots are not included. The second hanger is the one you will actually be pleased with.
Two knots is a short enough list to learn on the first hanger and use without thinking on the second, which is the argument for a kit that makes a pair rather than one.
For a plant on a windowsill that would rather be in the air, or for two people making one each — there is rope for both.
