The jar candles run to six fragrances — bergamot, gardenia, jasmine, peppermint, strawberry and vanilla — each 100g under a gold lid that screws back on between burns.
The diffusers suit rooms where a naked flame would be a nuisance — a hallway, a bathroom, the spare room.
Prices start at £4. The choice is between something to light and something that asks nothing of anyone. Several diffusers arrive in a printed gift box, one with a sheer ribbon loop that does most of the wrapping.
