What it is
Three hydrogel eye patches from Christian Breton, 2.5g apiece, in a slim carton capped with ridged silver foil and marked with two violet curves. The cool, jelly-like kind — pressed into place and left to settle while the tea steeps. Whatever else it does, it asks you to sit still for a few minutes.
Hydrogel is a water-holding gel rather than a dry paper sheet, which is what makes it cool against the skin. The carton is slim enough to go flat in a drawer.
Three is not a routine, and we would not pretend otherwise. It is three separate pauses, which is a more honest thing to give someone than a regimen. Christian Breton, in their own carton.
Small enough to tuck into a care package for a new parent, or a friend mid-house-move. It also does the job of the small extra in a bigger box — the piece that is opened last and used first.
