Curated Collections
A gift composed by hand, never revealed until it is opened.
- The Bud£22A thank-you, a Secret Santa, or a first Petalby.
- The Bloom£42A birthday, or an occasion that should feel like one.
- The Bouquet£74A milestone, or a gift several people give together.
The Selection
Chosen by hand, piece by piece
Choose a piece yourself, or let us compose a gift for you and keep what is inside a surprise until it is opened.
Three sizes of the same standard
We choose the pieces. Nobody tells the person opening it. The same four questions decide every piece, whichever size you choose; what changes is how full the box is.
An example box, photographed for illustration. Each box is put together by hand, so the contents vary.
The Bud
£22
A thank-you, a Secret Santa, or a first Petalby. Chosen with the same care as the largest, and no less considered for it.
Our signature composition
The Bloom
£42
A birthday, or an occasion that should feel like one. Composed to work as a set rather than as separate pieces, and still entirely unrevealed.
The Bouquet
£74
A milestone, or a gift several people give together. The fullest spread, with one piece reserved for this size alone.
Composed and packed by hand in the UK. Secure payment by Stripe. Free UK delivery, and 30 days to change your mind.

Gifts by occasion
Short guides to the shelf, each written the same way: start with the person, and let the gift follow.
What’s inside a Curated Collection
Every collection is composed by hand, so no two are quite alike. What stays constant is the standard each piece is chosen against, and that none of it is revealed until the box is opened. Choose a size.
A card goes in with every one. Ours reads “From Petalby, with love x”.

The Petalby Standard
Every piece answers four questions before it earns its place
- Good of its kind. Not adequate — good, judged against the alternatives we set aside. A piece we made ourselves is held to it just as strictly.
- Something we would be glad to receive ourselves. If the answer is not an immediate yes, it does not make the cut.
- Sits well beside the others. A composition, not a container.
- Never filler. A smaller box of three good things over a fuller one padded with a fourth that doesn’t belong.
Who chooses what goes in
Chosen with care and consideration.
Some of what goes in a Petalby box we make ourselves, by hand and in small numbers. The rest we choose, against the same four questions — and a composition that does not hold together is taken apart rather than packed.
Laura is no longer working alone: her daughter has joined her at the bench where the making happens and at the table where every composition is laid out. All stock is handpicked.
