What it is
Magnolia and pear: floral, with a soft fruit edge, and the sort of scent that does not linger in a shared office. It absorbs quickly, which is the only real test a hand cream has to pass.
Seventy-five millilitres of aloe vera and shea butter, in an aluminium tube. The tube flattens as it empties and goes into the recycling whole. Made in East Sussex by The English Soap Company, under the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew collection.
A hand cream is one of the few gifts that gets used rather than displayed, and this is the one we reach for constantly when we are composing. It suits someone who washes their hands more than they would like, and anyone who has never got round to buying a good one for themselves.
