What it is

Two hundred millilitres of pure essential oil blend, UK-made, working through natural rattan reeds for up to twelve weeks. A season of a room smelling intentional, with no flame and nothing to remember. It works slowly, and without announcing itself.

Two hundred millilitres in the bottle; rattan reeds to carry it. Rattan is porous, which is the whole mechanism — the reeds draw the oil up and the room does the rest. Twelve blends, from lavender and fennel to geranium and rose, each built like a perfume rather than an air freshener.

No flame, no plug and nothing to switch off. Up to twelve weeks is the figure on the product; how long it actually lasts will depend on the room. Turning the reeds is the usual way to bring a diffuser back when the scent goes quiet.

For a new flat that still smells of paint, a hallway that never quite airs, or a thank-you that wants a little permanence. The piece we choose when a gift should still be doing its job in a month's time.

Presentation
