What it is
A proper vanity case rather than a pouch: structured walls, wide blush-pink and grey stripes, and a fine herringbone grain. The twin zip runs on gold-tone hardware, the facing pull stamped DKNY. The lid tips back on a sewn fabric hinge, so the case opens at once rather than in stages.
Structured is the word doing the work here. A case built with walls holds its shape whether it is full or nearly empty, and it stands on a dressing table instead of slumping. Inside, a mocha lining printed with a tonal monogram.
What is fitted, in order. A zipped pocket in the lid takes the losable things; a padded divider splits the well in two. Elasticated loops hold bottles upright, so nothing rattles in transit.
For someone who packs their own bottles for a weekend away and would rather not find them lying sideways at the other end. It suits a dressing table just as well, holding the small daily things where a drawer would swallow them. A birthday piece, or a thank-you for someone who travels more than they'd like.
