What it is
Ground walnut husks through a 190 gram bar, which is what makes it work on hands that have been in a border all afternoon. Pink grapefruit over the top, sharp enough to cut through the smell of compost. A soap with a job, and no ambiguity about what it is for.
Shea butter keeps it from stripping. The wrap is paper, so nothing plastic comes into the bathroom with it. Made on a farm in East Sussex, by The English Soap Company.
We put it in with garden things, and on its own for anyone who gardens properly. It suits an allotment hand, a first-time grower, or the person in your life whose fingernails tell you what they did at the weekend. A small gift that gets used, which is the best sort.
