What it is
A 190 gram bar wrapped in patterned paper and nothing else — no film, no plastic tray, just the wrap and the soap. English lavender, which is the scent most people mean when they say a bathroom smells clean.
Made on a farm in East Sussex by The English Soap Company, from pure vegetable oils with shea butter worked through. The shea is what keeps the lather soft rather than squeaky.
Because the wrap is paper and there is nothing else around it, the whole of the packaging goes in the recycling. Bar soap keeps best on a dish that lets it drain between baths.
It sits on the edge of a basin looking like something out of a linen drawer, and it lasts. A good bar for someone who has just moved, or for the box that wants three things in one scent — there is a matching candle and eau de toilette in the same English lavender.

Every order is packed by hand. Just the items, simply wrapped is how it travels unless you say otherwise, and it costs nothing. A presentation level dresses it for giving — one for the whole order, chosen in your basket.
