What it is
A world globe that turns on its own, a full rotation every fourteen seconds, quietly enough to sit on a desk you are actually working at. High-gloss finish, 140 millimetres across, and a small amount of assembly out of the box.
One AA battery, not included, runs it for roughly a month of continuous turning. It belongs to the same family of objects as a paperweight or a good pencil sharpener: it does very little, and you find yourself watching it anyway.
