What it is
Bingo, in wood, on a board twenty-eight centimetres square. Somebody calls, everybody else covers, and the room goes quiet in the particular way it only does when there is something to be won.
Bingo is chance rather than skill, which makes it one of the few games a four-year-old and a grandparent can play honestly against each other. One person calls and the rest play, so the adult who would rather not join in still has a job. A child still learning their numbers works through a good many of them in a round, and nobody has to call it teaching.
Made by Bigjigs in FSC-certified wood, responsibly sourced, and slim enough to slide behind the books on a shelf between Christmases. For three years and over. It works with two people and works a good deal better with six.
One for the table after a long lunch, when the plates are cleared and nobody wants to move yet.
