What it is
The old pub game, made in wood and given animals in place of numbers. Spin the dial, flip down whichever animal it lands on, and try to close all eight on your side before the person opposite closes theirs. Whoever shuts their box first has won, and the round is over almost before anyone has settled into it.
Two players, about five minutes a round, and nothing to set up first. The board is twenty-eight centimetres square, made by Bigjigs from FSC-certified wood. It is quiet enough to play in a room where somebody else is reading.
Animals rather than numerals is the useful part: a child can take a full turn before they can read a number. For three years and over.
A good one for a grandparent's kitchen, or for the drawer of things brought out when the weather turns. It asks nothing of the adult playing it beyond sitting down.
Presentation
Every order is packed by hand. Just the items, simply wrapped is how it travels unless you say otherwise, and it costs nothing. A presentation level dresses it for giving — one for the whole order, chosen in your basket.
