What it is
A porcelain chamberstick of the sort people carried to bed before electricity, with an LED filament standing where the candle used to be. Tap the top to light it and hold to dim it. Lift the flame out on its handle when something has gone to the back of a cupboard.
It charges by USB-C, about an hour on the cable for twelve hours of light. Porcelain gives it the weight of a real object rather than an ornament that happens to light up. The dish at the base takes rings, earrings or the odd paperclip, which is what a drip tray was always going to become.
No wax, no smoke and nothing to blow out before you fall asleep. It is an old shape doing its old job, without the old inconveniences.
For a bedside table, a hall table, or the top of a staircase in a house that goes dark early. It suits the person who buys candles and then never quite gets round to lighting them.
