What it is
Lavender with rosemary behind it: herbal, dry, less sweet than lavender on its own. It is the bar we hand people who say they do not really like scented things.
A larger bar — 240 grams — of pure vegetable oils with shea butter, paper wrap, no plastic. Made in East Sussex by The English Soap Company under the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew partnership, which is where the botanical illustration on the wrap comes from.
Heavy in the hand, and slow to wear down. Shea butter is the part that keeps a lather soft rather than squeaky, and a dish that drains does the rest. The paper wrap goes in the recycling and there is nothing to peel off it first.
It suits a guest bathroom, a first flat, or someone who has had enough of vanilla. The wrap is handsome enough to give as it is, and there is a matching hand wash, hand cream and body oil in the same scent if a whole basin is being put together.
Presentation
Every order is packed by hand. Just the items, simply wrapped is how it travels unless you say otherwise, and it costs nothing. A presentation level dresses it for giving — one for the whole order, chosen in your basket.
