What it is
Three bars in one box, all magnolia and pear, each wrapped in a Kew botanical illustration. The box is card and there is no plastic anywhere in it, wraps included.
A hundred grams a bar, three hundred in the box. Pure vegetable oils with shea butter, made in East Sussex by The English Soap Company. The wraps are worth keeping — the illustrations are the reason this arrives looking like something rather than a three-pack.
Three is the right number: one for the basin, one for the shower, and one still in the box for whenever the first runs out. It is the closest this maker comes to a gift already assembled, and it needs very little from us beyond a ribbon.
It suits a housewarming, a thank-you, or the person who is difficult to buy for because they already own everything except the ordinary things. Soap is the least risky gift there is, and this is soap someone will be pleased to leave out.
