Orders start at £20, so this one travels with company. Anything from £3 in Spa takes it past the line, or The Bud stands on its own.
What it is
A turned beech holder that takes a ball of twine and gives back exactly as much as you asked for, then cuts it. No hunting for the end, no scissors left in the bed, no ball rolling off down the path. It is a solved problem sitting on a bench.
Turned beech, from managed UK forests. It arrives with a medium ball of Nutscene jute twine already in it: 3-ply, 3 millimetres, 130 metres. The twine is Nutscene's own, spun in Angus.
When that one runs out another goes in and the holder carries on, which is the whole argument for a holder over a bag of twine. The cutter is built in, so the end stays where you left it.
For a potting bench, a greenhouse shelf, or the corner of a kitchen table in seed season. It suits someone who ties things in all summer and has lost the end of the ball every time. A present that arrives working, since the first ball is already inside it.
