What it is
Ten wooden animals — two each of cows, sheep, pigs, ducks and chickens — smoothed, painted and sized for a small hand. They come as a set rather than a playset, which means they go wherever the game happens to be: a farm, a rug, the bottom of a coat pocket.
Two of each is the useful part. They can be paired off, sorted into kinds, counted in twos, or lined up in an order only their owner understands. There is nothing to set up and nothing to follow.
Responsibly sourced wood, five hundred grams for the ten, from Tidlo. For three years and over, and they sit properly alongside the wooden farms.
Ten is enough for a herd while staying few enough to count. For a first farm present, a stocking filler, or the quiet addition to a farm somebody else has already given.
Presentation
