What it is

The larger of the Birdballs, 155 millimetres of slipcast clay, filled with seed and hung where you can see it from a window. Tits, sparrows, finches, nuthatches and, if you are lucky and patient, a woodpecker. It is an object first and a feeder second, which is why it ends up somewhere visible.

Frost-free and weatherproof, so it stays out all year and does not need bringing in. Easy to fill, easy to rinse, and supplied with stainless steel wire and a tree protector. British made.

Staying out through the winter is the point, since that is when a feeder is doing most of its work. The tree protector is the small courtesy of not driving anything into the bark.

At 155 millimetres it is the size to choose if a smaller feeder has been running out too quickly, or if the window is a long way from the tree. For a garden with an established feeding habit rather than a first attempt. A considered present for someone who already knows which birds come.

A small parcel tied with twine and a blank card on an oak table.

Our promise

Every piece here is chosen on its own merits by a person who has handled the alternatives and set most of them aside. Some of what we sell we make ourselves; the rest is made by other people and chosen by us, and we say which is which.

If it arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, we replace it or refund it, and we pay the return postage. Our Promise, written down.

Not sure this is the one? The Bouquet is composed by hand around pieces like it, and the contents stay a secret until it is opened.

No reviews are shown on this page yet. Ours come only from verified orders and are published as written, from the first one we approve. How reviews work.
