Felted Wool Cat Cave with Tail

What it is

An enclosed cave in felted wool, black and white, with a long tail trailing off the back of it that no cat has ever been able to leave alone. It is a hiding place, which is the thing most cat beds forget to be.

Forty-one centimetres across the base, forty tall, with an opening of nineteen by sixteen. Felted wool holds its shape without a frame, so the cave stands up on its own rather than folding flat. It stays warm without anything plugged in.

Handmade in Nepal.

For the cat who sleeps under the bed, behind the sofa, or inside a cardboard box in preference to any of the beds already bought for them. The tail is the part that turns furniture into something worth attacking at two in the morning. As a present it is large, soft and slightly absurd, and it is received rather better than another open basket.
