What it is
Black stripes on creamy white, in soft cotton ticking. The plainest collar we could find and, for a lot of dogs, the right one — it goes with a black coat, a white coat and everything in between, and it does not announce itself from across a field.
Handmade in England. Twenty millimetres wide, sixteen in the extra small, with a metal buckle and eyelets and a nylon core inside the cotton doing the work.
The sort of thing you buy once and forget about, which is close to the highest praise a collar can be given. For a household that would rather not think about the dog's kit at all, and for anyone whose dog wears a collar every day rather than for photographs. Check the neck measurement against the size before ordering, since a collar that fits is the only kind worth having.
