What it is
A green herringbone Harris Tweed, lined in cotton printed with small white stars on navy. Green tweed is the one that disappears into a hedgerow and reappears looking better for it, which is roughly what you want from a collar that lives outdoors.
Handmade in Great Britain by the maker's own sewing team, with the Harris Tweed Authority label on the seam. Metal buckle and eyelets, nylon core through the middle. Twenty-two millimetres wide in small, medium and large, and seventeen to eighteen in the extra small.
The stars are on the inside, which means they are there for the person doing the buckling rather than for anyone else. Take a neck measurement before choosing a size.
For a dog who works, walks, or simply gets filthy, and for an owner who would rather a collar aged than wore out. A matching lead is made in the same green tweed and the same navy stars, if the pair is the point. A collar is the one piece of dog kit worn every day, which is a fair argument for buying the one you like looking at.
