Orders start at £20, so this one travels with company. Anything from £5 takes it past the line, or The Bud stands on its own.

What it is

A hallway is the room everybody walks through and nobody quite furnishes, and it is usually the first thing a house says about itself. This is the larger of the two ribbed greens, and the hall is where we would put it — or a landing, or a wide kitchen.

Scale is the reason rather than taste. A hallway has a door in it, and moving air empties a room of scent faster than anything else does, so the smaller one is working against the room from the moment it is set down.

As a present for a new home it does a quiet job on the first evening, when the kitchen is still boxes and nothing is where it will end up. The people living there will stop noticing it long before anyone arriving at the door does.

A small parcel tied with twine and a blank card on an oak table.

Presentation

Every order is packed by hand. Just the items, simply wrapped is how it travels unless you say otherwise, and it costs nothing. A presentation level dresses it for giving — one for the whole order, chosen in your basket.

Our promise

Every piece here is chosen on its own merits by a person who has handled the alternatives and set most of them aside. Some of what we sell we make ourselves; the rest is made by other people and chosen by us, and we say which is which.

If it arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, we replace it or refund it, and we pay the return postage. Our Promise, written down.

Not sure this is the one? The Bud is composed by hand around pieces like it, and the contents stay a secret until it is opened.

No reviews are shown on this page yet. Ours come only from verified orders and are published as written, from the first one we approve. How reviews work.
