What it is
Jasmine is the softer end of the white florals — night-blooming, and lighter on its feet than gardenia. It is the one for a bedroom or a bath at the end of a long day, where something bolder would take over the room.
A palm-sized amber glass jar with a ribbed gold screw lid, holding 100g of cream wax and a single central wick set just below the shoulders. The label is kraft paper, the fragrance written across it in loose lettering. The lid screws back down with a soft rasp of thread on glass, keeping the scent to itself between burns.
Because the lid threads rather than sits, the jar can travel in a bag without picking up everything else in it. And the glass is worth keeping once the wax has gone — this size ends up on a windowsill holding hair grips or paperclips soon enough.
Six fragrances in the range: bergamot, gardenia, jasmine, peppermint, strawberry and vanilla, each with its own listing. A small thank-you on its own, or three chosen together for someone setting up a first flat.
