What it is
A cat collar in shuka cloth, the blue checked cotton woven across East Africa, made up by a British maker into something a cat will tolerate. Cats have opinions about collars, and this one is built to be the least objectionable version.
Thirty-one and a half centimetres long and fully adjustable, with a section of stretch built in so the collar gives if it is caught. Narrow, light and soft-edged, in cotton.
The check reads as a small quiet pattern at cat scale, where a larger print would simply become a smudge.
Bow ties and bandanas in the same cloth clip on, if the household is going that way. For a cat who has shrugged off everything bought so far, and for anyone who would rather a collar looked like cloth than like a strap.
