What it is
Two greens woven against each other so the cloth shifts as it moves — juniper against moss, neither one winning. It is the difference between a blanket that is green and one that has a green about it.
Wool, woven in the UK, with the honest weight that makes a throw useful in February rather than decorative in June. The two greens are woven in rather than printed on, which is why the colour changes with the light and with the fold. Designed in Bristol by a brother-and-sister business that works with mills in the British Isles.
Wool is warm for its weight, which is what makes a throw worth keeping over the arm of a chair instead of folded away in a cupboard. Juniper and moss sit alongside wood and stone rather than competing with them, so the blanket lands quietly in most rooms.
For a first flat, a spare room made up for guests, or the friend who reads in the same chair every evening.
