What it is
Sherpa fleece on one side, red ticking stripe on the other, and a layer of padding in between — a blanket with a right way up depending on the weather and the dog.
It rolls into itself and ties with wide cotton ribbons, which is the detail that makes it travel well. Rolled, it carries under an arm; the ribbons are what stop it unravelling in the boot of a car.
Meant for the sofa, the boot of a car, a garden chair, or the floor of a pub.
It is the familiar-smelling thing that makes an unfamiliar place tolerable, which is the whole argument for owning one. For the dog who comes on holidays and sits under the table at the pub, and for a household that would like the dog on the sofa but not directly on the sofa.
